Classes have been suspended until Friday.

Great.

So what to do now?

One answer would be to laze around the house and waste time.

Another would be to take time to help others.

I guess I'll go with the second thing.

Tomorrow's wednesday. I think I'll be going to SHS tomorrow to help.. that is if time permits. I'll look for some clothes I don't use anymore as well. :)

There are nine days left before my 16th birthday...

however, I don't have a reason to be happy about that.

That's because everyone's currently unhappy... because of the wreck and damage caused by the recent typhoon Ondoy.

The heavy rains started one Friday evening. Because of the strange weather, sunny mornings then rainy afternoons and evenings, a lot of people thought that everything was going to be all bright and sunny the next morning...

..however, all those people who thought that, were wrong.

The heavy rains continued for one whole day. Around 410 mm of water fell from the sky apparently. Because of the amount of water, houses were submerged in water, flash floods occurred, people were stranded, and even worse, people drowned in the waters.

To be honest, as all this was happening, I had really no idea that floods, losses of houses and the like was going on. Our house here in North Susana was extremely fine. However, the houses of my classmates in Northview and Vista Real Classica weren't as lucky. I seriously hope they're fine now though.

Around 200,000 (plus plus.) were greatly affected by this flood. 95 people have already died as well. I thought that typhoon "Milenyo" was bad; however, Ondoy was a whole lot worse.

Metro Manila is already in a state of calamity. It's great that a ton of people are already helping out and donating as much as they can for the people who need them so much. I'd like to help too but apparently, I cannot. Dad's out of the house.. and mom can't drive. I do really admire everyone who's being a part and reaching out to all the other Filipinos who need help. :)

Back when I was a kid, I thought that it would be easy to get in UP and Ateneo. I thought that when I grew up, I wouldn't have a problem.

Well now, I'm starting to think that getting into my dream university wouldn't be a walk in the park.

I'm starting to doubt myself. I'm starting to think that I might actually end up in UST because I didn't pass the UPCAT or ACET. I pray to God that he'd give me at least just one of the two. Any one. Even though my dream is UP, even just Ateneo would be great for me as well.

Entrance tests are strange things. They're just like any other tests you take.. they're on paper and you gotta answer them. They're also not like any other ordinary test you take because they do tell your future (whether you'll study there or not) and you can never take that test again if you fail.

There are really some people who get into their dream school. There are some people who also don't get into their dream school. There are some people who pass every single test they take while there are some people who don't pass anything. This is the sad truth.

Usually to pass an entrance test, you gotta be the best. That's what all the big universities want. That's why everyone would kill just to get in. To pass, you really gotta be extremely smart or really hard-working. You will fight not just hundreds, but instead, thousands of other seniors who want to get into that school as well. The UPCAT has more or less 60,000 students applying every year. ACET has around 40,000. If only these schools could accept accept everyone however, the fact is they cannot.

Like any other senior out there, I wish to be in my dream school. I want to be in ADMU or UP. I want to pass those entrance tests very badly. I really wish that that would really happen. The results come early next year, so the only thing left to do now is wait, and of course, pray.

Today was full of ups and downs. Really bipolar.

So let me enumerate the ups first:

1) I got accepted into the Profile Staff. I wasn't expecting this though. In fact, I forgot that I even applied for it. We had to submit our application letters last July so I forgot that I submitted one. Mrs. Dino just excused me, Jonah and Clarice during English class. She also excused the other staffers too during that time.

2) I saw Miss Toli again after 2 or 3 years. Yeah, I remember she visited the school when I was still in second year. She still remembers me.. that's cool. I wasn't really expecting her to visit or anything because she teaches in the US based on what I know.

3) We had guidance instead of CL today. Good, because we were supposed to have two quizzes today. I learned how bipolar my life is.

So for the downs:

1) I foot was practically crushed by rude and careless sophomores during lunch time. They were like playing around even though they knew that they could hit other people. What was worse though was that they didn't even apologize. :|

2) I think I failed the El Fili quiz O_O

So far, I guess today was fine. I gotta look for sports attire because we got our first intrams practice tomorrow. O_O

I am bored.

Yes, this is turning into one boring Sunday morning.

Gah. O_O

Oh well. Let me just say one thing : "HAPPY GRANDPARENT'S DAY to all the grandparents out there!" :))

Yeah.

I think we're going to see mamoy and other relatives later. They're out watching Kimmy Dora (which happens to be one of the funniest Filipino movies around, and trust me, Filipino comedy hasn't been that great since Dolphy was young.) right now so we're going to see them later. :]

So the Newsletter Screening is finally over.

Didn't really have to do much that time since I was already done.

I didn't feel needed at all though O_O

I felt useless too.

That sucked.

Well maybe it's because of the moderator.

I did a ton of things before there was actually a screening..

..then I might not be part of the staff :O

We had the lady like campaign today. Har har. The picture at the left is a picture of what I wore to school today. Yes, I wore that black and blue dress. Strangely, my ID fitted well with it because of the black strap and blue USB =))

So yeah, today was an ordinary day except for the fact that we had to wear dresses to school. O_O We still had the regular classes and all. I guess it was alright but I think I failed the Physics long quiz today T_T

To add to that I'd like to greet Mother Mary a Happy Birthday as well. Because it is her birthday today :D

I better get started on my homework now. O_O
